Overview
Betteridge is a luxury jeweler that was in search of a critical update to its visual identity and vital UI elements of their online store. Shown below is a style reference that I created to support the UI and web development needs for expanding the Betteridge brand. These elements served as an important reference for the treatment and representation of the logo, typography, colors, product list page styling, filter refinements, input fields and validation samples.
Process
The first step in the process was to conduct the research needed to perform a comprehensive audit of all the visual elements the client employed on their site, which was comprised of analyzing more than 40 pages of content. Once the styles used had been outlined and organized, I was able to recommend ways to simplify the styling for a variety of uses ranging from input fields and button styles to faceted search elements and font sizes for both web and mobile.
Once the various components were defined, I was able to create several UI kit options that aligned with the brand’s updated style and identity. Shown below was the client’s selected visual direction illustrating a variety of important elements for use on their site.
